The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has announced a major recruitment drive for State Tax Inspector (STI), Class-3 positions under Advertisement No. 27/2025-26. This opportunity aims to strengthen the state’s tax enforcement and administration under the Department of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Gujarat Value Added Tax (VAT). Eligibility Criteria
Education
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university
- Candidates awaiting final results can apply but must provide proof before the main exam application deadline
Computer Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of computer applications as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules, 1967
Language Proficiency
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both
Salary
- Fixed pay of ₹49,600 for the first five years
- After that, Pay Level-7: ₹39,900 – ₹1,26,600
Age Limit
- Minimum: 20 years
- Maximum: 35 years (as on 17.10.2025)
